Delignification of Lignocellulosic Biomass
نویسندگان
چکیده
Delignification is the process of breaking lignocellulose into lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose. The presence lignin in lignocellulosic materials results limited utilization cellulose. This article discusses delignification process. There are various methods from literature study, namely physical, chemical, semi-chemical, mechanical, enzymatic.

Mixed Enzyme Systems for Delignification of Lignocellulosic Biomass
The application of enzymes such as laccase and xylanase for the preparation of cellulose from lignocellulosic material is an option for those industries seeking to reduce the use of chlorine-containing bleach agents, thus minimizing the environmental impact of their processes. Mixed hydrolytic and oxidative enzyme systems have been well described in the context of biopulping, and thus provide g...
متن کاملExtrusion Pretreatment of Lignocellulosic Biomass: A Review
Bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass to bioethanol has shown environmental, economic and energetic advantages in comparison to bioethanol produced from sugar or starch. However, the pretreatment process for increasing the enzymatic accessibility and improving the digestibility of cellulose is hindered by many physical-chemical, structural and compositional factors, which make these material...
متن کاملAn Analytical Chemist's View of Lignocellulosic Biomass
Lignocellulosic biomass comprises wood and agricultural residues, which are sources of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin (the lignocellulosic fractions), and represents the major biomass source. Each of these types of lignocellulosic fractions has its own particular structural characteristics and chemistry, which can be exploited in chemical analyses. For a general approach, the quality of t...
متن کاملHydrothermal Pretreatment of Lignocellulosic Biomass and Kinetics
The study focus was an examination of the hydrothermal pretreatment method applied to the lignocellulosic substrate, represented by the prairie cord grass, and comparison between different conditions based on the yield of glucose after enzymatic hydrolysis. The treatment did not involve any chemicals usage. Enzymatic hydrolysis was performed in order to examine the amount of glucose which was r...
